Our Story

Aspiring Health has been a Taupo fixture for many years but has undergone some radical changes since 2010. We believe that the world of Physiotherapy is changing and Aspiring Health will be leading the way!

The focus for the Aspiring Health team is wellness and complete rehabilitation.  We have distanced ourselves from the old fashioned ideas of treating only illness and injury.  We think our clients deserve so much more than this traditional and outdated medical model of care.

Our story really starts in Turangi in November 2010. Some figures passed over Jeremy's desk about a physiotherapy clinic that was languishing and closing its doors for good.  Jeremy called Catie, they had a look at the figures, had a quick think about it over a coffee and bought the place!  As staunch Turangi supporters, we felt that the people of Turangi deserved a physiotherapy service and put our money where our mouths usually are!  

The Turangi clinic has gone from being open just a few hours a week to being staffed two whole days and is housed in the flashy Turangi Community Health Centre. We think that Turangi has a lot of heart and we are proud to say that Aspiring Health, Turangi is still supporting the community, just as the community supports Aspiring Health.

Our story continues with a tale of slight madness and enthusiasm! In December 2010, we purchased Aspiring Health at the AC Baths complex in Taupo with a similar decision process (possible two coffees with this one!) and with that, Aspiring Health was reborn!

We kept the location, the equipment, the sofa and the amazing receptionist Sharee, then set about changing everything else!  We re-branded using the talents of Donnee Murray, Good Design to better reflect what Aspiring Health meant to us and our community. We wanted our brand to reflect our love for our lake and mountains whilst creating an idea of movement and wellness. Hence, our logo was born. 

Since then we have worked slavishly (with coffee breaks - naturally!) to build a strong and fun-filled team of experts from the clinicians to our top flight front of house team.  We never underestimate the power of a great team environment.  Our clinicians have worked all over the world and have a broad range of super clinical skills.  If your clinician thinks another team member has the skills to help you improve quicker, they'll sort that out for you.  Getting the best outcome for our clients is vital and we definately go the extra mile!

The AC Baths location has several late night clinics and is open on Saturdays. We know that people work, have kids to look after and sometimes just can't squeeze in time for themselves until all those things have been taken care of. We have to work and take care of kids too!
